Privacy policy

Last updated 17 October 2026.

This policy covers gridforge.dev. GridForge is built by Phoenix Devs. For anything about your data, email support@gridforge.dev and a person will answer.

What we collect

  • Waitlist. The email address you enter in the waitlist form, and when you entered it. If you answer the optional questions we ask after you join, also your team size, the data grid you use today and how you heard about GridForge.
  • Sign-up protection. When you join the waitlist or send the optional answers, a one-way hash of your IP address, so one network cannot sign up hundreds of addresses. We never store the address itself.
  • Contact form. Your name, email address, subject and message, and the same one-way hash of your IP address used for sign-up protection.
  • Sign-in. If you sign in, your email address, a one-time code we store only as a hash, and a session cookie (gf_session) that keeps you signed in.
  • Licences. For licences already bought: your email, the name given at checkout, the order number and the licence key.
  • Requests. Our host records your IP address and browser details when you load a page.
  • Analytics. Only if you allow it in the cookie banner: Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<id> and records which pages you visit, where you came from, your device and browser, your approximate location, and whether you joined the waitlist (never your email address). Your choice is kept in your own browser.

We use no advertising. Your light or dark theme choice is kept in your own browser and never sent to us.

Why, and on what basis

  • Waitlist: to email you when GridForge Community ships, when Pro follows, and about major updates. The optional answers: to learn who GridForge is for and how people find it. The basis is your consent, which you give by submitting the form and can withdraw at any time.
  • Contact form: to answer your message. The basis is your request, which you make by sending it.
  • Sign-in and licences: to deliver and manage what you bought. The basis is our contract with you.
  • Sign-up protection: to stop automated sign-ups that would email people who never asked. The basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the list and our email sending honest.
  • Request logs: to keep the site running and secure. The basis is our legitimate interest in doing so.
  • Analytics: to see which pages people read, so we can improve them. The basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with here or at the bottom of every page; we then delete the analytics cookies.

Who processes it

We do not sell or share your data. These services process it for us:

  • Vercel hosts the site. Its servers see your IP address and browser details for every request and keep them in short-lived request logs.
  • Neon hosts the database that stores waitlist addresses and answers, and account data.
  • Resend sends our emails: the waitlist confirmation, launch updates, sign-in codes, messages from the contact form to our support inbox, and short notes to us when someone joins the waitlist, and with any answers they give.
  • Polar will process payments for Pro licences. It holds the payment details; we keep the order number, email and name it sends us. The site takes no payments today.
  • Google measures visits with Google Analytics, only if you allow it. It receives your IP address and browser details. Google signals and advertising features are off.

These services may process data in the United States, under their standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Waitlist addresses and answers: until you ask us to remove them, or until we stop sending GridForge news.
  • The IP hash used for sign-up protection: deleted within 24 hours.
  • Contact messages: we do not store them on the site. They arrive by email in our support inbox and stay there for as long as we need them to answer you and follow up.
  • Sign-in codes expire in minutes; sessions end when you sign out or after 30 days.
  • Licence records: for as long as the licence exists, since you need it to keep using what you bought.
  • Analytics: Google keeps the visit data for 2 months. The cookies are deleted when you decline in Cookie settings.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted or stop us using it. Email support@gridforge.dev. We answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.
